MIMOSA is not just a musical project: it’s an anthropological approach and a musical archaeology that preserves and celebrates the sounds, movements, rhythms, and languages of Black Brazilian bodies. This project, bringing together Mbé, Leyblack Beats, and Luiz Felipe Lucas, was born from an artist residency in Spain, where the artists explored the Afro-Brazilian creative origins. The result of this immersion is a manifesto album, traversing the powerful rhythms of Terreiro, Samba, Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass, and the many facets of Brazilian Funk.
