A five-time Grammy-nominated composer, Suzanne Ciani is an iconic figure in both electronic and neo-classical music. With over 20 solo albums to her name, including the legendary Seven Waves and The Velocity of Love, she made a major shift with her quadruple album LIVE Quadraphonic, revitalizing her modular performances on the Buchla synthesizer. Suzanne also lent her voice and sounds to the famous Xenon pinball machine by Bally and created the pop-and-poursound for Coca-Cola, earning her a spot among the world’s most creative and accomplished composers. A true living legend of sound synthesis, her journey has been immortalized in the documentaries A Life in Waves, which traces her life and career, and Sisters with Transistors, shedding light on the often-overlooked history of female pioneers in electronic music. A visionary, Suzanne Ciani embraced machines and their liberating technologies to radically transform how music is produced and heard today, paving the way for other women in a field long dominated by men.
