Scattered Purgatory (live)

The Taiwanese duo Scattered Purgatory draws inspiration from a Taoist ritual dedicated to the redemption and release of souls caught between life and death. This philosophy permeates both their performances and creative process, in which unreleased past compositions are deconstructed and reassembled alongside current work. The result is a distinctly contemporary sound at the intersection of ambient, drone, psychedelia, and krautrock, oscillating between raw intensity and meditation.
