A major figure of Seoul’s underground club scene, NET GALA disrupts the conventional language of contemporary electronic music. A singular blend of underground dance and deliberately warped pop, driven by deconstructed rhythms and mercurial sound elements. Through their music, the South Korean artist explores questions of identity, queer culture, body politics, and many other themes. Emerging from the LGBTQ collective Shade Seoul, NET GALA honed these frenetic sounds across the EPs [re:FLEXion] (2019, NBDKNW) and [신파 SHINPA] (2021, SVBKVLT), culminating in the album GALAPAGGOT (2024, Hakuna Kulala). The album was widely acclaimed by critics and awarded the Korean Music Award for Best Electronic Album in 2025.
