Sonia Calico

Born in Japan and raised in Taipei, Sonia Calico is a key figure in the Taiwanese music scene. Known for her sharp and forward-thinking approach to club culture, she skillfully navigates deep basslines blended with traditional Chinese sounds and pop influences, both in her productions and DJ sets, all under the influence of breakbeat, trap, Baltimore club, footwork and more.

Her boundary-pushing productions and genre-blending sets have earned her international recognition as well as numerous music awards. Through each of her projects, she continues to expand the possibilities of independent electronic music in Taiwan.
