Always on the lookout for new ways to show off the city, this year Nuits Sonores is visiting some of Lyon’s most iconic squares to organise three open-air events (free of charge and open to all) featuring up-and-coming artists and established figures from the local scene.

A counter-current open-air is being prepared, abrasive, rhythmic, and no doubt a little dreamy too, in a somewhat retro-futuristic spirit: the machines' vocals will be enhanced by clear guitars. We invite the best band of the French cold-wave scene, the most flashy producer of the dark side of techno music, a rising star of the club scene who knows how to make cyborgs cry, a duo as chic as alien, another as sensual as obsessive, one who recomposes the Lyon-Istanbul axis with tendentious weirdness, and finally one who knows how to rhyme acid and sexy. We'll let you decide who's who, the best thing to do is press play.
