Raphaël Forment is a doctoral student at the Université Jean Monnet in Saint-Étienne and a visiting researcher at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts in Lyon. He is currently devoting his research to live coding (improvised music programming). He also designs software for musical improvisation and performance, combining musical analysis, creative research, programming, aesthetics and cultural history.
