19 - 25 July

Fulu Miziki

A multidisciplinary collective founded in Kinshasa in the late 1990s, Fulu Miziki claim to come from a future where humans have made peace with the earth and with themselves. The eight members of the group have created an orchestra made exclusively of recycled objects, which they use to create new and unexpected music. This is a constantly-evolving punko-afro-futurist project with a political and environmental edge. At Nuits Sonores, they will play only on instruments salvaged and upcycled in Lyon during the week leading up to the festival.
