Félix Lacquement and Lucien Basdevant form the Acousmaflics collective, an unstable, troublemaking musical entity that probes the spaces of electroacoustic music. Initially born out of a desire to thumb their noses at dogmatic seriousness and academicism, over the years the Acousmaflics collective has become a singular entity.

The collective mixes classic house, techno and electro sounds with effects-laden electric guitars. The whole thing is driven by DIY electronic gear made from recycled materials and dressed up by an equally DIY video, to offer a simple, offbeat moment of fun on stage. The Acousmaflics collective is offering a new live show: Chevaliers Approximatifs. With a live video straight out of the depths of Z cinema, these Chevaliers Approximatifs have something in their wandering that questions us. Their quest for the useless is an ode to average artists, struggling with their little hands against the techno-mullets-rolls-compressors of artistic life.

The workshop AI and Open Source in Sound creation: Breaking Free from Big Tech is powered by the cooperative project TIMES.
