Day 1

Musician, producer, director and iconic feminist performer, Peaches has established herself over more than twenty years as a queer electroclash icon. A rock figure who is at once transgressive, radically self-asserted and undeniably magnetic. A former roommate of Feist, she burst onto Berlin’s underground scene in the late 1990s with The Shift, her first band formed alongside Chilly Gonzales. Following the release of her now-mythic early albums (The Teaches of Peaches, Impeach My Bush…), she went on to win the prestigious Polaris Heritage Prize, collaborate with artists as diverse as Iggy Pop, Daft Punk, Christina Aguilera and Yoko Ono, and see her music featured in major works such as Lost in Translation and The Handmaid’s Tale.
Her new album, No Lube So Rude, is a bold and uncompromising work exploring identity, sexuality, age and bodily autonomy, blending sonic alchemy with emotional intensity to transform the frictions of contemporary life into energy, exhilaration and transcendence.
