Juan Atkins

A major pioneer of electronic music and a founding figure of Detroit techno, Juan Atkins is widely regarded as the godfather of the genre. Through his projects Cybotron and Model 500, he laid the foundations of modern techno by blending the futuristic funk of Parliament Funkadelic, the precise rhythms of Kraftwerk, and the innovations of Giorgio Moroder.

A prolific producer and iconic DJ, he helped drive the global rise of techno alongside Kevin Saunderson, all while maintaining an instantly recognizable melodic style.
